do you have a remote?
is the car set to remote on or remote off? (look to the left of the steering wheel).

You could possibly have a defective Key Detect Switch. This switch is located on the back of both front door lock cylinders. This switch detects whether a key was used or not when unlocking door. If this switch is loose or defective the theft deterrent thinks the car was broken into.
Try locking and unlocking the doors from the passenger side door and see if problem goes away.

it "was" set to remote on until i switched it off. i haven't tried starting the car from getting it from locked position to unlock ever since (it's 11pm here) so i'll try to do it tomorrow. as for the other response, you might be onto something. the driverside interior door handle trim broke apart and the driverside doorlock switch is loose; however i dont think i would recognize such a symptom like this if it is loose. i will, however, try to unlock the door from the passenger side. i will follow up on this tomorrow and i thank you both very much for the responses.

uncle_el, i saw your car at the meet. lots of scuff marks in the back, bro! i was driving in my black stock 95 during the photoshoot. too bad i couldn't get any parts on as they are still being shipped

Actually, a loose door lock will cause just that.

i turned the remote switch to off and it seems to turn on fine. after looking at the driverside doorlock switch again, it is completely broken. should any problem arise.. i will report back. thanks
