Hi everyone,

After just selling my 1990 LS400 i have found a 1998 model LS400 For sale.

The car has 190000kms on it which is my only worry.

I spoke to the lexus dealership who informed me it had been serviced every 5000kms and majors every 40000kms.

Do you guys think this would be safe to buy?

IMO, if they can produce the repair records or print out a diagnostic report from the computer (since it is dealer serviced this should be no problem) then it would be something to consider if the priice is right. Your pictures show it to be a clean car. I have 164,000 mi. on my 95 and have always serviced it according to the book. It is still more reliable than my 350z.

114,000 ( i converted it) miles is nothing on a lexus ls. you can get double or even triple that. BUY IT! if its a good price.

Thanks for the replies. Well it is going to run me about 25k AUD so thats like 19k USD. Things are more expensive here anyway so it is a good price here.

Buy the car. Looks great. It appears to have a Nav/sound system installed. If so, nice job done. You will love it. I see over there you guys have headlamp washers for the 98 model year...nice. But I also noticed, there is a antena mast on the l/r quarter, minor ser back. Buy the car!!!!!!!

WOW that slideshow was really annoying ,i hate the zoom part on it.

Otherwise the car is going to last and you have nothing to worry about . I have 298 000 km and going strong on my 98.

The car is fully loaded i think with sat nav/woodtrim wheel/hids and whatever else. I am yet to find out if it has the upgraded stereo.

Can anyone advise me if this car has the upgraded stereo system?

all it says on it is Lexus premium.

Would this be the ordinary pioneer or the good namagichi one

trust me when i say that in the 95-00 either one kicks major *** compared to the first gen (i have a nak on my 95 and a "regular" on the 00)

after going thru that PITA flash slideshow I STRONGLY advise you to pick that car up. its got ALL the goodies aside from the nak, and honestly, its not much of a loss. especially when u have the VERY rare air suspension and the full wood/leather interior. also, HIDs i think. inside and out the car looks great and the maintainance records just clinch the deal for me

I dont think the air suspension is on it because they never came out on local australian vehicles and i AM NOT SUTRE ABOUT THE NAK. everything else is on it and I have just put a deposit on it so itll be all mine soon.

I Love teh Euro spec LS's. Fully loaded to the gills. Did anyone notice the front controls for teh rear AC? yeah, something like the 01+ Ultra luxury package on a 98LS.

Just so different from the LS's we have here, another level of luxury. Very nice
