The car has about 110k miles. On turns I feel like I have zero control. Car is quite scary to drive. Maybe because I'm used to driving my SC which has Tein coilovers and a bunch of other suspension upgrades. Anyways I think the shocks have gone bad which is why I find myself bouncing all over the place. This car is the daily and I dont want to lower it... just get a good ride and less body roll. What do you guys suggest? KYB GR-2s?

Dude, unless you are exaggerating, then there is something seriously wrong with your suspension. I own a GS430, and my LS400 is my daily driver, and before the LS my daily driver was a Honda Civic with Integra Type-R suspension, which could out-handle most cars out there. But now that I have the LS it isn’t that bad. Yeah, you get body roll, but it’s not anywhere near the point that it would be scary or feel out of control. In fact it’s pretty darn sure footed, and although the steering is very numb and has little feedback, once you get used to it, you can actually throw it around quick corners and it won’t let you down. I think you should check your suspension for problems before you go ahead and ruin your ride with aftermarket crap. First thing to do is to check your tires pressure and condition, check your wheels, check your sway bars, shocks and springs.

Another thing to keep in mind is we have annoying spring seats in our first generation LS400’s, and because of them you may feel more body roll than there actually is.

I would get some Bilsten shocks. But prepare for a harsher ride.

sounds like ur old shocks are blown. new shocks would definitely improve ur handling, even softie OEM ones.

I must agree. My LS I only put on new Falken Ziex's with factory 16's.

I surprise alot of people with the speeds I can take curves and turns. I was able to hang on a curve with my friend who has an 06 civic si doing over 80mph. Yes it does has body roll but it felt planted on that curve. Better than my Q45 did thats for sure.

2 TON cars tend to have some body roll...but yea, you definitely should look into some new shocks.

urethane bushings, and kyb gr-2 and eibach drop is what I have. HUGE difference. If you can go with Bilsteins, then do it. Personally I would have gone with Tein coilovers or JIC, but they were too costly. You can put on a Strut Tower Bar from a 93-98 supra TT as well, which you can pick one up from eBay for about 30 bucks or less.

You don't have excessive miles for the shocks to be completely worn. Push down on the front fender to see if it bounces more than once. Your car should not handle that bad boss.

Well if I hit a bump in the road the car makes a loud thud sound and pretty much bottoms out. I'm really assuming its the shocks but I guess I'll have it checked out.
