Default Front springs LS400

Recently I lowered my 96 Ls 400, the car looks good but the return rate of the springs is terrible, and the ride is very harsh. Does anyone know of where to get some standard springs second hand from at a reasonable price, or can anyone advise me on Tanabe coilovers, or similar?
I am in Australia and can't find info on this type of thing. Thanks - Kevin

I can't comment on Tanabe coil overs but I can tell you I have H&R springs (1" drop) with Bilstein heavy duty struts - If I did it all over again I would definitely go with coilovers since you have more adjustability in terms of lowering and ride quality. As for my ride with H&R's and Bilsteins, it is sporty - just like I wanted....gone is the motor boat like ride. Some like it - whatever your taste is - seriously look at coilovers since they cost nearly the same.

Welcome to CL.

Does Dobinson have a spring application for this car yet? By now, I would think they have a basic drop spring and a progressive rate one.
