Thumbs up Just installed Axxis pads

I just installed Axxis metal master pads up front, and Deluxxe pads in the rear. So far, I love them! I wanted to install new rotors at the same time, but the Brembo rotors I got ended up not fitting.. the mounting holes don't match the mounting holes on my hub.

With the new pads the car really stops on a dime. Infact it stops so quickly my tires can't handle it. If I step on the pedal hard the tires chirp real quick. Shouldn't ABS activate in this situation? It doesn't feel like it is. Either way, the car stops really quickly. The problem is though that if I'm just stepping on the pedal lightly, I don't feel a huge difference from before. I think I need to do a brake fluid full system bleed, becuase the modulation on the pedal just sucks. Its kind of "all or nothing".

Also, I finally got rid of brake squeal! I got that orange anti squeal grease stuff and I took out the shims, cleaned them well with brakeleen and then put plenty of grease on all the pads. So far, so good! No more brake squeal! I hope it lasts.. I used to have a really bad squealing problem.

I just got a set of SS brake lines, so I hope to install those soon and do a full bleed, and while I'm at it, I'll hopefully get new rotors, and then my brake system should be in top condition.

Here are some pics of my old pads vs the new ones... the old ones were so glazed, when I touched them they felt smoother than my skin.

The new pads were way thicker. I really had to push those pistons all the way in to istall these.

You can kind of see how the old pad looks glazed.

LMAO! I bet my pads look like that too! I'll be changing mine out next week. I ordered some r1concepts OEM rotors & Axxis deluxe pads.

I just got my pads/rotors in from r1concepts...

Which set of pads is the smaller set...rear or front? I'm guessing rear..

Default pads and rotors

hey guys, i'm thinking about doing a brake upgrade too and i was wondering if it is better to have cross drilled rotors from r1 concepts with oem pads or would recomend going for the axxis like yours. Thank you in advance.

I don't have cross drilled... but with all the research I've done here, my conclusion is that you're better off getting some ceramic pads with the more performance-type rotors.

Someone else can back me up, but I'm pretty sure this is factual.
