Default Remote starter is killing battery?

I have a 98 Lexus LS400 and I just got an avistart remote starter/alarm/2-way pager installed on my car. Two days after the installation, my battery died and I heard clicking noises.

I jump started the battery and my car was fine, but now everytime I start the car it barely starts (as if the battery is almost dead), and when it does start, the stereo acts weird. With songs with a lot of bass, the subwoofer doesn't play along with the other 4 speakers (maybe because there isn't enough power to power both amps)--- this is usually until I drive a while.

I'm going back to the mechanic this saturday, but I still would like to know what might be causing this.

obviously to get some thoughts or ideals, but i would like to know why you even responded if you werent going to be helpful. to the OP obviously the alarm is draining the battery when the car is not in use so the alarm might need to be rewired

ignore him, hes useless

i agree, its prolly a mis-wired alarm and/or MAYBE a dead alternator (tho its pretty fishy they happen at the same time).

get your battery recharged (autozone or the like) and if it happes again you know what to look for.

They probably incorrectly hooked up the trunk light and it is staying on and draining . Get someone to lie in the trunk and close the lid.
