Any suggestions where to get a timing belt kit
Hey Folks -
It's that time, timing belt needs to be replaced on the Lex. The original owner replaced it at 66,000 which was probably suggested by the dealer since the car was dealer serviced before I bought it. The car is now at 170,000 and it's due.
I've looked on eBay and found this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/89-97...spagenameZWDVW
Seems to be selling good parts but I want input from others as well. $285 will include the Toyota water pump plus $23 shipping. I would get it from Carson Toyota, but I know they will be higher and I'm on a budget.
Also, I wanted to know if there is anything else I should check while I'm replacing the timing belt/water pump? Below is a quick run down on what I plan to do:
Water Pump
Timing Belt
Everyting else in the kit (idler, bearings, etc.)
Flush Coolant
Spark plugs
Air filter
PVC valve
Oil change
Tranny, brake, power steering fluid is good (Dealer did al that before I bought the car). TIA.
