Help!!! Throttle position sensor
Hey all:
Background: Nothing happens when my accelerator is depressed:
I have a 2000 Ls400 with 75K miles. Recently I have experienced a problem where I depress the accelerator and nothing happens. I have to place my car in neutral and restart it.Sometines I have to do it 2/3 times before it will start. I got a P0120 and P0121 code.
Problem: Replaced my Position sensor and car won't start
After checking the official Lexus manual and reading comments on this forum and others, I believed it to be the position sensor. So...I replaced it. I was under the impression that I could just swap out the old one, positioning the new one similar to the old (i.e. with the scews almost in dead center of mount holes). Either I missed something or screwed something else up while doing this.
Now my LS400 will not start! When I start her up. It cranks, turns over, then the engine revs up significantly and cuts off. By the way I tried to reposition the throttle sensor to the left and right most positions and well as the center position. Same problem.
Any ideas?

Most throttle sensors are adjusted to the physical unit. There should be an adjustment proceedure using an "ohm meter". Suggest you recheck your manual for replacement proceedures.
