Not that hard to remove.

1. look under the mirror to the base that the mirror sits on, near body of the car
2. you will have to use an offset phillips head screwdriver to remove the 2 screws that attatch
the mirror the mirror base. these will be hard to turn at first because they are sealed with
thread lock. (offset screw driver has phillips head setup at either end of the driver and set at
90 degrees at each end) not expensive---- $5 - $10 tops.
3. entire mirror housing will come loose and into your hands. depending on your year, you may be able to disconnect the wire harness from outside of the car once you get mirror loose, otherwise you will have to remove the inside door panel and fish around to find harness.

No problem Blue. I had to take my mirrors loose from the base to hide the wires for my turn signal covers. (didn't want them exposed). Will check out manaual. Might be the same one I purchased from ebay for $11.
