An auto to manual,nah I would not want to lose the smoothness of the LS.

That is the point, you get to choose between "tiptronic" and regular auto like in any recent GS's or IS's. The tranny stays auto, but you can tune it any way you want. Even how hard it will shift electronically. This is one of the first major performance upgrades I would make.
