Default Driver's Windows Failure

Hi everyone,

My driver's window won't go down. I've had this problem 2 times over the last two months but the window would start working again after I hit the door (not sure if that really did anything). I took out the switch and cleaned it but that didn't fix anything.
This time it's not working at all. Any suggestions on how to diagnose this problem?

Hi prep, i have the same thing happen to my 91 except none of the windows will work, then later
the function returns to normal. I am going to remove the drivers side front door panel and check all the connections and all the wiring first. You might try the same thing. If it is only your drivers side window that does not work it could also be the window motor is going bad. You could put 12 volts to the motor to test it.

Do you know which wires go to the drivers side window?

Sorry I have been away from computers. No I don't and I have not found my a wiring diagram.
But, I got mine working by resetting the system. I had disconnected the battery to clean the termanalsand that caused the problem. I understand that the small lights on the window switchs will blink if the reset is necessary. I don't know if mine were blinking or not because I can only see them if it is dark in the car. Anyway, with the car locked I opened the drivers door
with the key and did the double click to unlock all the doors. I then started the car and held the drivers window switch up for 30 seconds or so. after that all the window switches worked normaly and have contuned to work. I hope this helps.
