Default Painting LS400

How much does a full paint job cost for a '93 LS400? Mine is white. I would eventually want to paint the whole car the same stock white color and get rid of the two tone exterior.

Expect to pay $2,000-$2,500 for a quality job. It's costing me $1,100 to paint the bottem part of my car black and thats a deal.

$2000 is actually a good price if you're painting the whole car. I just had my 94 LS repainted one solid color and the price was $1800 and I know the owner. It's a tedious job if it is done correctly, which includes removing all the mouldings, body panels, badges, door handles, bumpers, lights, etc.. Also the price for top quality paint is expensive, the paint for my car I believe was around $450 per quart. After numerous coats, wetsanding, and polishing (the job took just over a week) the car came out looking absolutely stunning.
Hope this helps
JC

ya they usually run around $2000- or so depending on what brand paint you want and if they are going to pull out all your glass and body parts...

How about tinting the clearcoat to give it a different effect - maybe a pearl or dark tint?

If you take the time to remove all the stuff yourself...you can actually save a lot. Only if you know what you're doing, if not, then pay for the service.

I was lucky and got my bottom painted black for $500, looks good and updates the car!

Keep in mind, I already was spending $1,500 to repaint trunk, hood, roof and fenders. oxidation fix.
