Default trans does not engage...

hey wassup all...im new here so dont flame me if a post like this was already posted (i tired looking around but couldnt find MY problem)

i just bought a 90 LS400...in immaculate condition...well except for the fact that the trans is just straight up strange...ok heres my prob...when the car is cold...and you put it in gear...it will drive around...but once the car gets warmed up...come across a stop sign or traffic light...and then any gear youre in becomes neutral...is this because my trans is gone?? or could it be the solinoids?? i asked a few of my friends...one said it could be the solinoid...one said its the trans...and one said look in the computer...hahaha...could anyone who had a similar fate please shed some light on this subject?? it would be greatly appreciated...

more than likely its the tc, sounds like the trans works fine but the tc isnt moving power once the fluid becaomes less viscous(heats up).
