Default What is this hose on the top of engine??

Can you guys please help me identify where this hose goes to? The hose comes out (or in) from the top front of the engine right under the word Lexus and under the brake lines going to the traction control module. I have a 1990 LS400.
It looks like a vaccum hose but is currently just hanging loose down by the steering pump area but I truly have no idea what it may be.

Thanks!

It runs to the power steering pump. Specifically the Idle Air Control valve.

Damon,

Thanks for the quick reply. It has been disonnected for some time now - could I have done any damage to something?
I presume there should be only one empty inlet on the PS pump that this would attach to. I will check it out in an hour or so...

plug both of them. cap off the hose, and the plug on the pump. its fine without it. actually better without it.

I don't have an IAC on my PS pump. My LS is plumbed like Caoboys & works fine. You have to have a block to keep the maf sensor happy.
