LS430 Rain Sense Wipers

When I leave the wiper switch in the 'auto' position, the wipers cycle once when I start the car. This didn't use to happen. Any ideas how to keep this from occuring (other than the obvious leave the switch in the 'off' position)?

Rain sensor might need to be repaired, or replaced.
