what is this noise
ok every moring(when i first start the car)i hear like a rc car winding noise and when i turn the wheel it gets louder.(i no it has something to do with the power sterring pump)after like 10 mins it goes away 
and what is a good power sterring fuild i rember grandls saying something about a mobil product.thanks again.

this happens to my car a lot since i have a leak in the system. also, check the vacuum conection between the pump and the intake right after the MAF to make sure it isnt clogged. best way to fix it is to add some regular dexronIII ATF fluid to the reservoir.

I think the pump would have a better chance if owners had ever beed advised to be more diligent about keeping the fluid in good condition.
I would estimate (but would like to hear from someone more knowledgeable than me) that the fluid should be changed every 30,000 or at least the contents of the resevoir vacuumed out & replenished.

Other items of interest are that the idle air control valve is a known problem.
Following the advice of another here I took this part out of the system. It is not necessary and you will not miss it.
A pump change alone will not solve your problems for long. Pump failure likely results in contaminated deposits (in the form of metal fragments) thru-out the system. For this reason most advise to change the Pressure Hose as well. It can be rebuilt at significant savings over new cost by a hydraulic hose shop.
The steering solenoid on the rack itself is a notorious gathering spot for debris. Make sure it is removed and the screen cleaned.

i have a '93. the power steering pump went out (leaked) at 90k. they came with a plastic part. the toyota replacement part is metal, which lasts. get it changed before the leak blows your alternator. it is below the pump. don[t replace two significant parts.
