Default Lexus/Toyota Parts prices. Change in Policy?

Has anyone noticed that prices seem to be falling on oem parts?

Some prime examples would be Upper Control Arms (Front)
48790-50010 Lt.
48770-50010 Rt. at $256.00

Power steering pumps for $350.00

These were Gen1, LS Parts

whats wrong with that? maybe you are finally getting them at toyota prices? that s like the other day when i went to lexus and bought an o2 sensor for 146.53, when kragen's was going to charge 176 AND they had to order it. manufactures want to keep their profits/customers coming to them, so they are lowering their prices now. i say its good!

Well you must be lucky, I just called today on upper control arms and outer tie rod ends, Houston area Lexus 470.00 for the upper and 72.95 for the outter tie rod end. Wish those prices would migrate south.

Control arm pricing was from Darrel Diller of Sewell. Want to say that oem struts were $46.00 or so, but this was part of a $1000.00 + parts order.
ddiller@sewell.com

PS Pump came from:
Matt Molin
mmolini@lexusofroseville.net
1-877-744-0411

I am located in Dallas. Broken Bow you could still be well South of me but not out of Fed-Ex or UPS reach.

Guess what I am trying to pass on is don't be afraid to tell your dealer that you have seen better pricing. His response might surprise you!!! Negotiate!
