Default Timing Belt and Water Pump at 30k?

I called a Lexus dealer with the VIN and asked for the service history and the guy told me timing belt and water pump was done at 30k miles. I'm like why did the person do it at 30k miles he doesn't know. He did say that it should be done at 60k thou. Isn't that weird? Wasn't 90k the time to change both of them? Its a 2000 LS400 with 87k miles so that means the timing belt and WP don't need to be changed until 120k miles.?

I think the car I'm looking at should be a little more quiet. Theres this noise somewhere in the engine compartment that I don't know what it is. Sounds like a belt or something that needs to be changed. Need to get that checked out, anyone have any idea what it might be?
