I finally got a 95 LS.

All I can say is WOW! A world of difference from the 94 back models. It feels a lot more like a mercedes. Better leather quality, much larger inside, Larger Moonroof. Many great improvements. Only thing I don't like is how high it sits.

It is Gold with Tan interior. 115k miles Pretty bare no heated seats, or nak or trac. It does have the CD changer.

I paid 12,600 with auction fees. Pretty cheap. Probably not going to mod it. To busy and I need to put money towards a house in CAli.

I have some chrome 98 wheels coming in. that will be all of the mods. Maybe a K&N for some gas mileage..

It has been a long time since I have been on the board , I have been very busy lately, opening a new dealership. Now I have the lexus bug again. I probably will be on more..

C-ya,
Scott

P.S. Jbrady, are you turbo yet???

Scott, "excellent choice" (says the lobster to the restaurant patron who just selected the steak )
Yes, the 2nd gens are better than the already excellent 1st gens. Of course the 3rd gens are better still.

No, no turbo/supercharger yet. Business focus has kept me from tinkering. The roots type superchargers from Japan were too expensive, no turbo kits are offered and I do not currently have a shop in which to fab my own. SRT is planning a centrifugal supercharger within the year (or so they allude) so I will be considering that option as well. SRT is also to offer an intake for the 1st gen LS and then the 2nd. Their current offering is for the 3rd gen GS only (front TB mount intake manifold vs. side TB mount on 1st/2nd gens). Otherwise, SRT intake/ecu, SRT TC and ZEX nitrous are my probable upgrades (when I get around to it).

I have heated seats and traction control but do not have the CD Hoping to find a better solution than the factory $1000 changer (rip-off).

115k, has it had the timing belt replaced?

Default LS 400

Yeah, Jbrady all of the recommended service was done at Lexus on the service history report. Timing belt/waterpump 91k miles...

Btw, Jbrady, I am visiting San Diego soon, looking at a house in Hemet.. Aren't you from San Diego? If so email me privately at wscottwilliams@home.com, I have some questions for you about San Diego ARea etc. (Non lexus ****, basically)

Edogg, just be patient and you can find one(95 up) pretty cheap. Concentrate on getting top dollar for yours, then steal a 2nd gen.

Wazzup, Sicklex... What is up in the ATL..

C-ya,
Scott

Scott,

It's been a LONG time since I was in SD (over 30yrs)

Houston is home.

With all the service done and records it sounds like a great deal on your 95.

Default Lowering the LS

Well, so far I got the Chrome 98 wheels, now I am going to lower it.

Teins would be nice but a little too much $$$.

I am thinking about Eibach springs. If any one here has experience with them please try to help me answer these questions..

Question #1 : If I get them do I have to replace the struts also?

Question #2 : How much stiffer is the ride?

Question #3: Anyone know where to find some good prices on these springs? My best price so far is 280. from CArparts.com

Pics will be posted soon with the Chrome 98 wheels!

Thanks,
Scott
