LS400 CD Changer

I recently purchased a 93 ls400 and when i bought it, the cd changer had been removed ...i asked the previous owner and he said he had no clue where it was. Anyway the radio is all set up for the changer and there's a button for "CD" on it and everything and a connection in the trunk as well as the spot where there should be the changer. I was wondering if i could use any cd changer in general (given it has the same cd capacity as the stock) or do i have to buy one specifically for the model. I tried searching for the model of the radio but got nowhere. Pioneer something or other. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I'm sorry to hear that.
There are two system you can have, the Nakimichi or the Pioneer.
Either way, you have to get the factory CD changer.
Yes I know that it is made by Pioneer or Nak but there is a signal wire that hooks up to the CD changer that a aftermarket changer will not work with.
I'm sorry to say that you have to go factory on this but at least it will fit nicely in its place in the trunk.
Good luck,
