lexls has a tut on changing the front struts but also has a tut on removing the rear seats and parcel shelf. that you would use to get to the upper mounts.

The rear struts are a PITA. The repair manual reccomends that you remove the rear driveshafts but you can do the job without doing this. Here's how: once you remove the rear seat and unbolt the strut from the top strut mount, and then unbolt the bolt that holds the strut to the axle, use a hydraulic jack to support the axle. Then push the strut inwards towards the trunk of your car. Then take the jack and raise the axle all the way.. this will give you enough room to drop the strut down. Now lower the axle with the jack, and you should be able to maneuver the strut enough to pull it out.. when you put the new one in.. make sure you do it the opposite way you took it out.
You will probably have to use the jack to move the axle up and align it with the strut when you install the new strut.
And be sure to align your spring and upper strut mount on the strut properly.. nothing more frustrating than spnding an hour getting the strut into the lower body of the car only to find out the spring is misaligned and you have to take it all out and start over!

tanabe df210 springs w/tokico shocks .....help
Hi
Just installed these NEW tokicos w/ Tanabe DF210 Lowered Springs.
Converted my stock air ride to the above suspension. Due to the rear air shocks going bad.
Now I have a problem of the rear bottoming out alot. I used NEW Leuxs rubber boots in between the mount and the springs.
All the parts were NEW. PLEASE can someone help....find me a solution.
Thanks.
