Wink Replying to My 98ls Now With 20inch O.z. Opera 2 Peice Rims

First here is a how to ,to replace the studs.

Well i had to put them on after i installed my 15mm H&R spacers.
The spacers took 2 hours to intall as i had not done anything much with the brakes or knuckles on my LS before .For a vetran LS owner it should take 1 hour the most.
To install the spacers
remove the wheel
unbolt the caliper
remove set screws for rotor
thread a oem nut back on the stud to balance the pressure
hit the nut with the hammer about 3 times and it will back out
remove nut and old stud
install about 1 inch worth of washers on the stud to remove
thread the same nut back on this new stud
use a c clamp to hold the hub in place to knuckle for install
slowly tighten the nut which pulls the stud through
make sure it is straight or you will shear off more material than needed and can cause the studs to loosen over time.
I would not use power or air tools ,hand tools work fine and keep the loads even.

Once you finish the studs install everything again and put the spacer on the hub. It is hub centic so it fits perfectly
thats it.

Now on to the buisness at hand
Here are some shots showing the car and how much the spacer push out the rims to make the front tires flush with the fender.
I did not care about tehm being flush ,i just wanted them to fit.
They rub so i had to raise the front up . I don;t like the gap but oh well what can you do.Fo now i will leave it until i get a fender rolling machine to make some free space in there.

No clue about the lip spoiler.
The rims in the pic are OZ opera'sbut with a much deeper front offset which is why they look different as well as the picture being grainy and dark.
It is a 2 peice like mine but i cannot use a lowe offset up front because of my larger calipers.
Look at my rear wheel as it is deeper on the lip as it is a wider rim

Oh yah the fogs are the HIR bulbs which i bought and mentioned in my older thread.
The lenses on the fogs have been polished as well to return them to new with my high speed polisher and 3m plastic polish. I am planning on getting a clear yellow protection film soon as well as maybe HID's.

Looking good SK. Are you going to put a spacer in the rear to match it up to the front? The rear looks a bit recessed after what you did to the front.

what is the wheel specs? 20x8 and 20x9 or 20x8.5 and 20x9.
Is that a 255/35/20 front tire?

Like that style wheel.

As Neo stated...the back looks a bit recessed.

Thanks i got the rims from eBay

The exhausts are Sportlines

I am not going to put a rear spacer as i don't want them to rub in the back and i only added the front to clear the calipers. I want the tucked look for the car anyway but it is hard to do with this car upfront.

Rims are front 20X8.5 and 20X9.5 out back
The tires are all 245 35 20 dunlop sp 9000

I love the HIR bulbs as well but would rather change them to HID's later

HIR bulbs are a new make of bulb not really a brand but are used on Dodge vipers . HIR (halogen infrared reflector) basically reflects unused light to the filaments to increase there output without more power or the use of ballasts.

The exhaust looks low because i don;t have my kit installed which will cover them nicely in the spring.
But right now they sit almost right up against the rear bumpers.

Yup, got them on the SC400, in both high and low beam, and they are great.

Oh thats why the tires look thick, the dunlop sp 9000 are very nice but costly tires. They run big so thats why it looks like a 255/35 up front, I love the way those handle.
If you add a spacer to the rears it wont really rub at all because your running a 245/35 tire in the rear. My wheels have low offsets so for the rear wheels 20x10 I had to run a 255/35 tire to clear but I have no rubbing at all, even on hard dips with a car full. Just dont use huge spacers, they have the smaller ones that you could use without taking off the studs like you had to do for the front. Try it out it will probably work.

Not with my rims the pic is at night so you see the tire inside the wheel well lip.
In brighter lighting you can see the rims lip sitting almost flush with the fender .So for me it is goign to be hard but it is the look i want.

I personnaly don't like these dunlop tires. They are just oer priced but offer nothing of any real value for your money. 5/10 in every aspect but price where it is a 2/10.For the price toyos rape these things.
Of all the tires i have bought and driven on for more than a month.
I perfer T1-S or the new T1-R which i have not driven on yet.
They are a much superior tire in every aspect compard to the tires i have owned.
Kuhmo 712' the worst peice of S in the world Kuhmo's are the rice of tire, did i mention i hate them?More manufacture defects than a ford.
Yokohama parade spec 1's and 2's both great tires with enough grip for a track once warm but they get real noisy when old.
The old toyo proxy 4's had no grip were loud and just plain sucked. The new ones are supposed to be much better.
