Default 1992 LS 400 - Mirror computer and seat memory

Just bought a 92 LS 400 with 194K miles !!!! My power mirrors are not working and dealer suggested that it is the computer that controls the power mirrors.

My seat memory is also not working. Just wondering the the computer that controls the memory also controls the pwr seat memory settings.

Yes, that is most likely the problem.

You can put a good used one, but you will run into the problem sooner or later, usually sooner!

New ones aren't cheap, try www.lexus-parts.com they might have them at a good price.

Where is the power mirror computer located? Under the dash?

If it's the same as the '90 model, it's behind the glove box. I bought a used one from a salvage yard and it worked fine in my case. $50, worth the gamble for me.

Before you do anything,,, first check the fuses to make sure that they are intact and not blown. I had this problem once on my 92, and it wound up being a fuse that had popped.

Also, try pressing the memory seats buttons a bunch of times (100 or so) as I just recently learned those connections get weak and somewhat sticky over time.

I had a window switch that wasn't working properly and I had my buddy continuously press it and it finally started working.

Also, you could try removing the unit and using a cleaner/duster on the switches.

As far as the mirror motor, check the fuses as well as the motor itself.

Hope that helps.

My memory settings work, but I cannot move my mirrors by switch or by memory.
