I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to install a navigation system in their cars? I know one is made for my 1998 LS 400. I suppose the part itself is quite expensive as well (> $1000).
Thanks for any information

There is a lot that has to be swapped out, the whole center stack. Not even any idea what would have to be done electrically, not something I'd have any interest in doing.
Get an aftermarket one, some real neat pop up deals out there.

Navigation System
Thanks for your reply. Could you please elaborate on the pop-up navigation system? How it fit in the car's dash? Are there any good websites about this?

I duno if you would want to install a stock navigation system(due to the sheer price of it). But if you want to spend a little less money on a pop up one, i suggest you look at the alpine one which in which stephen mentioned.. It would probably replace your casette deck and fit right there..as for a place to find it, ive seen it at good guys, and circut city. But if you read my future post 'ill have a list of wholesale dealers that sell brand name car parts and electronics, so watch for it!
