Popping Sound on Turns

Ever since I've had my 93 LS 400, about a year now, I've noticed a popping sound coming from the front, right during hard turning. It usually only shows up when I'm doing a 3 point turn or turning the steering wheel all the way to the stop. My mechanic said that it was a lubrication issue but after having him service it I still get the same thing. I have receipts from the dealer under the previous owner saying that the lower right ball joints were loose. My mechanic, who was also servicing this car before I took posession of it said he had replaced those parts a while back.
So I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how they solved it. I'm hoping this isn't a serious issue, I've noticed that the car is fairly unstable at high speeds (80 and up) but this may be due to my squishy rear shocks that will be replaced soon. Thank you all for your help.
