Default MY first full week of ownership

It has been exactly 7 days since i bought my LS400, and it has been a ride.

Already I have put 3 full tanks of gas in, replaced the oil , replaced the air filter, ordered new lug nuts, replaced the subwoofer, washed the car 2 times, and then had it professionaly detailed. smoked an integra type r on the freeway, and hit over 130 going to work. Ive already been pulled over for doing 60 in a 30 and got let go, got the car registered and insured. Damn it has been an action pack week. And no I dont usually drive fast but you know how it is when you get a new shiny object. 99% of the time i never see past 2k rpm in this thing and never over 1300 in the city. I drive it to last and for comfort.

Oh yeah i forgot to explain my theory. So i was driving my brothers beat 1990 corolla for the past new months while he drove my nice 02 corolla. Driving his i would wave at serority girls that live near me, they wouldnt even give me a look. So i drive by the same girls right after i get the car washed and cleaned, now in the black lex and i just put my hand up in a hello fashion, all 3 of the girls went "Heeeyyeyeyyyy" all cute like at the same time.

see my sig for my thoughts about those girls.

All my friends love the car, my girlfiend really likes the car, and most importatly i love the car. Its absolutely worth it to own even if its higher milage, still runs perfect, even if i get v8 milage and have to replace some parts in the next year. The car has power, style class, decent handling and still smells of fresh leather.

After I get back from ireland in september the modding will begin.

I do hope to bring a somewhat decent knowledge base to this forum as it seems the corolla community is pretty much hopeless at this point.

Plenty of Lexus in Ireland. In my town (pop. 6,500) there are at least 7 Lexi. That's one for every 900 inhabitants, more or less. God, they're *so* common now...:-)

Three good reasons why your mom shouldn't buy an LS in Ireland:-

a - Road Tax - costs about €1,400 per annum (roughly $1,700). Quarterly, the tax is about €400 ($500), so you can work out what a year's tax paid quarterly is...

b- Insurance - I'm paying about €700 p.a. ($850) for fully comprehensive insurance. Regardless of the fact that my LS is 11 years old and isn't worth a huge amount of money, and the fact that I'm a relatively mature motorist, the insurance premium is based on engine size and where you live (city -vs- country)

c- Gas - roughly €1 per litre where I live ($1.20). The LS tank holds 85 litres, so a fill of gas is a tad over $100.

Just for the sake ofargument, how much does a fill of gas cost *you*?

Nenagh, which is about 25 miles east of Limerick.
