What is the size of the rear sub as i need to replace mine because it has blown is it as easy as a straight swap or is there more required?? anyone got any recomendations on what sub to ge aswell??

Hello people, i just replaced my 8" deck lid subwoofer, I replaced it with a cheap POS $13 woofer from orvac electronics over here in orange county. The sound is 10 time better, i used sound deadening to hold the woofer in place in lou of cut the stock bracket from the oem woofer, im going to seal it with some silicone sealer, it doesnt rattle or move around so i think that you do not need any cutting of the brackets that you see in sub replacement guides for our cars

Wow $13 huh, I still say the stock sub is pretty good. I'm not much for the pimp'n noise.

yeah i'm not much for the dual 15" woofers with 9000000 watts but the stock sub i had was completely blown and sounds like a fat man farting. So the 45watt rms sub at the electronic place was a pretty doable replacement, 13 bucks or something close to that. And it makes the entire system sound so much better.

Totally worth the 10-15 minutes of work, and you really dont need to replace and cut the bracket off the old sub. Its an open air woofer anyways and doesnt need to be air tight. Little sealer and some fat mat and it doesnt budge a bit.
