hey, i was wondering how well does the `90 LS 400 do in quarter miles. is there any possible way to add a significant increase in low-end power? is it possible to put a turbo off another car and put it in mine? maybe perhaps an `87 turbo supra? i really want to know what i could do to make a drastic change in acceleration.(i know there is lag in turbo........but it would be really cool to have a big intercooler on the front of a LS 400! don't you think? hehe)

The LS does about mid to high 15 in the 1/4 miles, pretty slow for today's standards. You do not need a turbo to get faster accleration. You could get a Torque Converter and it could cut you 1/4 time aobut .2sec 0to60 and .5sec in the 1/4mile.

http://www.converter.com

Also i do not know of any turbo's,but there is a supercharger for the LS,but i do not know the link.wait i think maybe there is a turbo also but i forgot who posted the links.

I think JBrady knows the links to the SC and Turbo, let see if he see's this thread and maybe he could provide more on this issue.

www.Rodmillen.com makes the supercharger for around 7 thousands, not a good deal if you ask me. Turbo charger is possible but would take so much. Start off with a Torque Converter. The only hard part of the trubo is finding space and how to run the tubing. Making the turbo mainfold is the hardest thing about it. The turbo depends on what kind of boost you want, if you have money go with a t3/t4 hybrid. all the intercooler would be a custom fitted thing. you looking at around 5g+ for the custom at most places. find out ask shop, that would be a tight thing. Or check Japanese inporteres, i know there are Celisor out there with turbos, maybe you can import one.
To deals with trubo lag if you have one, a nitrous would solve that problem. A 75 shot from zex would cure alot of that, also an exhaust wrap jacket would help. You might want to add an oil cooler too.
Sponsorhip is up to you. YOu need ALOT of time.. to attend all the show, the thing they are looking for is alot of explosure and being well represented. Make a good portfolio, name all the show you thinking of entering.
