98 LS400 with 04-05 18" Wheels?? Anyone?
Hello all fellow members.
I am thinking of putting 04-05 LS430 18-inch wheels on my 98 LS. Does anyone here have that set up?? or any picture available?? I want to find out how those wheels would look before purchasing them.
Thanks!!!

I don't know of anyone who has that setup yet. You may want to try posting a pic of your '98 and a pic of '04-'05 18" LS430 wheel (at the same angle) in the Photoshop forum...I'm sure someone will gladly help you out.

IMO, the 5 spoke looks nice on our cars. Saw them on a '99 last year but at stock height...I was going to do the same until the LSportlines went on sale.
For a pristine set, cost during the summer of '04 was about $1,400. That auction site I've seen them sell at $1,200.
Just go for it!

Here is a slightly larger image of the LSportlines
I still like the OEM 18" 5 spoke...if something happens to these wheels (curbed, chrome flaking...) I'll buy a set of the factory wheels like you are contemplating. The LSportlines came in about $150 less per wheel than the OEM so it was an easy choice. That alone covered most of the tire cost.

FYI, Sewell lexus has chrome versions of the 5 spoke for $375 each: http://www.lexus-parts.com/partlist....19&ModelID=119 . Silver's more my style, but it is an option.
I kind of like these wheel. Didn't know they existed before this thread. If my car doesn't wind up dead, I'll put these on the list of cool wheels for my 98 LS.
Thanks,
Brian

From my understanding, the $375 per wheel is some sort of exchange program. Otherwise, that would have been one helluva price for chrome OEM 18s, or even the silver finish.
