Perfect leather for 1995-1997 LS's
My '95 LS's leather is still in perfect condition.. I swear, i cannot tear or crack the leather if i tried.. I take no special care with my seats other than washing them with a mild soap every 3 months or so and rubbing in some conditioner here and there... But no matter what i do, no matter how much use I get out of the seats, it seems the leather always looks in showroom condition... I've noticed the same thing with other 95-97 owners.. The 1990-1994 model years on the other hand were not at the same quality level as the 95+ years.. I've seen what those seats look like nowadays, and for the most part, they're not pretty.. the 98+ LS's used a softer leather, which may have felt more comfortable than the 95-97 LS's, but have resulted in more cracks over time... So could it be that the firmness of the 95-97 LS's have helped prevent this inevitable problem?? Or is it perhaps the leather they used during these years were just more durable than all other years?? Those of you that have owned different LS's will most likely know what I'm talking about here...

Agreed.
The leather in many of the 95-97 looks to be in very good condition. This is also relative to clothing worn. Mine has a hint of blue from the jeans rubbing on the bolster side. It is easily cleaned but a careful eye will detect that faint hue. There are good samples across the line...just may depend who drives the car.
I notice how some people slide in and down the seat when entering the car...this likely creates more wear.
