Default 2JZ-GTE sit nicely in my engine bay.Update T04R single turbo installed.

2JZ-GTE from JDM aristo now sit nicely in the engine bay with help of good friends. The old and tried V8 was out and turbo inline 6 was in. Have to wait till next week for a guy to do all of the wiring for me. Better leave this work to the expert.

That looks good in there...just like it was meant to be.

What kind of performance numbers do you have in mind for this motor?

The tranny will be stricly automatic so that my wife can drive it too. The goal is to make 450rwhp.

Here pic of Cedric with RB26DETT. I bought this car just the way it is. All I did to it is change the wheels to 19". Because of the twin plate ORC clutch my wife never touch it. I only drive it at night when traffic is low.

Using engine mounts both left and right from 2JZ-GTE vvti engine instead of 2JZ-GTE unit. The vvti engine mount move engine about 2inches forward.

Also have to grind and hammer down the hydrulic fan bracket, since it interface with power steering pump and alternator. Not a problem.

Question

Quick question on the Cedric, being that its an RB motor, are you using the Skyline GTR's AWD trans and therefore have an AWD cedric or are you using the Skyline GT-T (GTS-T) trans which is only RWD?

Nice to see you are doing this. More powerful toys for the Lexus family. Dropping the engine in should not be a problem but wiring might give you some headache. I wonder if you would complete it before I do mine

You are correct RB26DETT engine mate with RB25DET (Skyline GT-S)5 speed transmission. It a direct bolt on without any modification. It ran 14.6 sec 1/4mile at 1.0bar of boost on street tire. I will push it to 1.5bar next time, hope for high 13.

Pic. FMIC already in. Should I cut up front spoiler so FMIC could get all the cool air I see many drift car in Japan did this but not so sure about cuting up this $2000 kits.

Raditor is a tight fit: have to cut away two of the bottom fan bracket.

Bottom: drive shaft return from machine shop already weld and balance, cost me $50 . The right one is 1UZ unit. Both have same lenght but mounting hole of 1UZ unit is about 1CM wider.
