Is it required to change Brake Pads when installing New Rotors??
I have a 91 Lexus LS400. My rotors are warped but I have a good amount of life left on my brake pads. Im going to install new rotors, im wondering do I have to change my brake pads also? Will it warp my rotors again??

hello, since youre already there, might as well change the pads, just a suggestion, go for ceramic pads front and rear, got it on my 96ls and 02sequoia much better than oem, less brake dust,

I installed new rotors on my 92 LS because they were warped. The OEM pads had been replaced by the PO and had 70% left. I re-installed them. That was two years ago. All is well. There is no need to install new pads with rotors if the pads have any amount of useful life remaining.

Unless the old pads are severely scored, I personally would have no problem using them on new rotors. As long as they present a flat surface, the rotor won't know if they are new or used. I would use some brake pad bedding techniques over the first few dozen miles, just as if I was using new pads.
But if you are uncomfortable with this, another solution would be to use new pads, hang onto the old, and use those old pads once the new pads have worn down. Too bad they won't fit my SC, or I'd buy them off you!
