Airbag electric adapter???
I finally got the chance to install the 2000 LS400 steering wheel on my 96 LS. The steering wheel fit fine, but when I was trying to connect the airbag, I had trouble. The connector is different!
Is there any way I can get an adapter to fit the airbag connector? Right now I'm driving around without a working airbag and horn. PLEASE HELP!

I'm guessing somewhere between 96 and 00 (perhaps during the 98 updates), the SRS went from single-stage to multi-stage (different deployment speeds based on severity of impact). The newer multi-stage SRS units have different connectors. I know RX and GS owners have run into similar issues trying to install wood wheels from newer cars. Worst case scenario is you're forced to sell the 2000 wheel, and have your 96 wheel converted into a leather/wood combo by American Stitches (who does excellent work--many satisfied CL members have used them)
