Anyone ever take their LS on a road course?
Well.... it's not exactly the right car for it, is it?
My girlfriend and I went to see a buddy of mine who races (Spec Racer Ford and Miata) at a nearby course, Carolina Motorsports Park a month ago. At lunchtime, they open up the track to anyone with a pit pass (which we had courtesy of my buddy) and you can drive your personal car on the track. No super-aggressive driving and no passing were allowed, but it was still pretty funny to see the big body LS out there driving around.
While my GF was taking her turn at the wheel on the track, I popped open the video camera in the back seat to film a little of the ride. She wasn't quite as aggressive as I was going around, but you get the idea.
Right click and save as only (here) for the video (5mb)
I also snapped a picture of the Nav after we'd gone around the course a few times where you can see the bread crumbs
Pull into the pits lady!
Some other pics:
Forget the name of this brand of car, very good track car.
Miata he was running that day
Mini-nascar, very fast
Viper
