Default tough decision

I have the option to get a 92 ls400 in good condition with 120k miles on it for $2000 after trading my 93 maxima. Should I take that deal and get it repainted with a bodykit, suspension, and wheels, and possibly new brakes, or should I just get a stock 95 or 96 ls400 that will maybe have 95 to 115 thousand miles for around 11000 before my trade in. The 92 is gold so I definitely want to paint it but the 96 is already white which is the color I would like. If anyone has any advice or better suggestions they'd be much appreciated.
I love the LS but I see a ot of them around so thats why I'm tempted to get the cheaper one and pimp it out so its unique around here...I live in louisville Ky

p.s there is one other option that my seem like sacriledge on this forum, it's a 99 acrua tl 3.2 with 115 thousand miles for 13000 before my trade in.

The tl's aren't bad cars. The only thing is that I have heard they have many transmission problems. I know honda extended the warranty to many of their cars but I do not know which years are affected.

In my opinion it would be better to go with a newer car if you are dumping your current car. Expecially when you have to cough up another $2000 plus the cost of painting, suspension, etc.. To me its not worth all of tha ton a 12 year old car..but if that's your thing, go for it. Ofcourse for around the price of the tl you can get a 00- 01 maxima or 99-00 infiniti i30 which are also great cars.

Thumbs up the older car is the better deal to me.

The older car is the better deal look at miles in relation to the year of the car. The newer TL looks better but is over 90,000 miles in 5 years. Thats to much miles. Be quick, but don't hurry your decision. You have to pay for this car and live with it. Make sure you get the best car possible. If you are set on the 3 you have now i cant say which one to buy, i would buy neither. I guess you should make the best choice in your mind. I would opt for the newer car. One key factor is the safety standards in effect when the car was manufactured. As for the TL, if hasn't already had the tranny done, it will likely need it soon. Every Honda product on my street has had new/rebuilt trann when the car hit the 90K-150K mile mark. That aside, they are competent vehicles. Depends what you like or want.

I'd say get the newer car also and just trick it out after. I also know that those TL's have major tranny problems.

i agree...also i dunno if ur gonna paint it urself but a color change ( as you indicate you want) to be properly done..even with you pitching in youre looking at 4-5k for a good job...
