Post Grille styles for 95 Lexus LS 400 A.K.A. Celsior 20 in Japan

I am looking to purchase an aftermarket grille from a company in Japan but I understand that they made two different grilles for the Celsior 20. One grille is designated as Celsior 20 previous term and the other is Celsior 20 latter term. They changed the grille style for the second generation Lexus and I want to confirm if our 95' Lexus LS 400 would be considered the previous term or the latter term. Your help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Thumbs up

That's a nice looking grille, better then the Trenz IMO.
I've seen it before on this LS > https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...hreadid=117713

This one should be a direct replacement for you from what I could gather. (The first Celsior 20 link)

Let me know how much it cost please.
Thanks!

From what I understand it is a direct replacement. The problem is that in Japan they made two versions of the same grille and in order to order the correct one you must know if your lexus would be considered previous term or latter term.
If you have any idea or you know someone who would let me know.
Even better if you know someone who speaks Japanese I would love to call Japan and find out directly from the manufacturer.
I was told the price would be somewhere between $390-$410 for the grille.
If you get any addl info Holla. You can also send me an e-mail if you wish to communicate directly.

What you're inquiring about is for the Celsior UCF 20 M/C Before model (according to Japanese specs) aka 2nd gen LS400 ('95-'97).

Here's the link to the grill you want for your '95:

http://www.eonet.ne.jp/~black-chromium/page006.html

If you compare pics between a '95-'97 and '98-'00, you'll notice that the grill slats on the '95-'97 is more smoother and flowing where the ends bend than the '98-'00 model. Also, if you look on the website http://www.eonet.ne.jp/~black-chromium/page001.html you'll notice that they list the models from latest (top) to earlier (bottom) in descending order....that in itself is a dead give away that the grill you're looking for is the 4th link from the top right before the Celsior 10 link.

There are two grills for the ucf 10/11, although they may have the same screw slots. The 90-92 and 93-94 have a different looking insert. The Admiration grill is still my favorite for the Celsiors.
