Thinking about a 95 ls but what should i do .....
I went and looked at a 95 LS with 104,000 miles on it the price 13965, i was thinking that was reasonable, but i am trading in my acura so he lowered the price to 12900, well i went home and did some research(thats how i found ya'll) and the retail vaule should only be 11800 for a car in good condition and the car is in good condition for what i could see i never test drove it yet cause i had my son with me at the time, but get this i ran carfax and the car has a salavage /junk title what kinda **** is that. I like the car but i don't know what to do i am getting a 2 year unlimited mile warratny for the LS. What price is fair for a car that says it it has a salvage title i was thinking 7000 because trade vaule on that car is like 6000 in good condition. Also he never told me it had a salavage title but he did say his boss hit a deer but it left a little dent to the frotn fender they fixed that you can't even tell, The car wrecked in colorado back in 1999 and now the car is in PA i don't know if it even has a clean but i am assuming it does. I would think h would of told me and i am buying tis car form a dealership also. sorry so long but i wanted to give ya'll something to work with .Please Help. Thanks and great Site.

Welcome to the forums...
I think the $13,965 price tag is a bit high for a '95 IMO, but that might be due to the 2 year unlimited mile warranty. Personally, I'd be skeptical that the car has a salvage title and top of that, from what you're saying it seems the salesman is a 'lil shady in not mentioning the salvage title. I'd steer clear of that particular LS and go searching for another one with a clean title. You might want to consider buying from a private seller...just be sure that it's been maintained regularly and that they have all the paper work to prove that all the required maintanence has been completed.

I would agree with both BR1AN & RA40. In addition, I have a 95 LS400 and it's a great car, but since this was the year that Lexus did some redesigning of interior and exterior there are some minor annoying problems that I run into from time to time that just don't exist in the later models. (LS400's from 96-98) So you can definitely find a just as nice, or nicer, LS in the same price range, but you'll just have to look around for it.
