Default engine startup

hi all, i have a '00 LS400. my battery would drain on its own when the car's not used for a day or two. when i fully charge the battery, i could only get about 2-3 good cranks and after that u could feel and hear the the engine trying to turn with a tough time. i checked the battery and it's in good condition, checked the fuse for the alternator thinking maybe the alternator's not charging but it seems fine. i thought the alternator was having problems because eventhough i use the car, the next crank would still not have power. any help would be great. thanks.

What type of battery do you have? Check your battery again if its holding the charge. It should be at 12+. Clean the battery connectors with a wire brush.

if your battery is also 2000, change it immediately--lexus' are extremely sensitive to low batteries

You need to have a "LOAD TEST" done on your battery.
If it's the original battery it most likely needs to be changed.

If this is the original battery, it is likely time to replace it. The batteries I have had, they tend to go 3-5 years with most being replaced at the 4year mark.
