You have to wonder if there's really a market for a 600 HP LS.
I'd certainly like to see it, but I don't think it would sell. For the
most part, LS buyers are primarily concerned with luxury, quality,
and value. Their not out racing Dodge Vipers.
How many S600's and 760's do we even see? Not much.
Nevertheless, bring it on Lexus!

600HP LS coming?
Well guys, If Toyota/Lexus produces anything close to those spy photos, that would be great for it's image. Just look at this forum, there's almost no stock Lexus. We've all modded our cars to some degree.
Seems like we're all looking for less fender gaps ( tighter suspension ) larger wheels ( aggressive stance ) more performance. Heck, there's SC with twin superchargers, wonderfully done wide body transformations. There's many Lexus owners adding trubos to their cars. The list goes on & on, but if this all be done from design inception so that we don't have to mess with the ECU mods and aftermarket shops, then it'll be grrrreat!
If MB, AMG and BMW, M can do it, Toyota can definatley do it with much more reliability. There's already Toyota's very own in-house performance dept. TRD
What we need are some nice aggressive lines and performance to back it up. With no overly done Veilside kits which definately puts the car in aftermarket mode.
Let's face it. Our Lexus's are nice, but boring. I'm all for it!

Lexus is on the verge of changing over the entire line by
2007-08. This will include a performance line comparable
the AMG and M lines. 600 hp might be an overestimate, but
don't be surprised if they get close to that. This will be
achieved in a way never done before - by combining
powerful gas engines with powerful electric motors to
create super impressive figures.
Pretty soon there may be no logical reason to head
to a BMW or Mercedes dealer.
BTW LexKost, the SC430 is a beautiful car!

Do you suppose Lexus and Co. read this forum? TRD? Hope so.
They urgently need a restyle, such should include a 120" w.b. LC500 [luxery coupe, 5.0 liter] and make available [even at special pricing] more exterior colors [ include non-metallics please], more interior colors,
[ Ferrari butterscotch tan, please], simple, basic 5-spoke wheels [17" max. for me, ride qualityy you know], and please, please do away w/ those monsterous UGLY headlights [IMHO]. Lexus is not conservative in their headlamp design. I like the simple ovals that blend into the body.
FWIW, 2 cents. ; )

I'm all for it also...Lexus makes great cars but they ARE boring..Lexus needs to compete with AMG and M and with their reputation of quality lexus can narrow the market to their favor if they can do it right.
