The Fat look
Can someone that has the fat tire look show some pic's? i'm really thinking about going this way since you don't get a good ride with the thinner wall or lower profile tire. i really like to see the differance since i might go with a 18" wheel and maybe just drop it a little to get that look. any comments are welcome. Fat tire + Lowering???
I am very curious about how Fat tire w/ Lowering will work, esp. when you drive over a speed bump or a pat hole??? So I will try to find pictures on some websites in Japan and let you know. I don't even know whether I can find the picture - do you think by changing the suspension will help you to get a better ride or getting FAT tires?

Next Week or so...
Been a VERY long time since I've been here - working way too hard...
I'm not sure if this is the FAT look that you are talking about.. but I thought that I would post anyways
Next week or so I am putting 18 x 8 +37 with 245/45R18 96W Dunlop VEuro 301s ( japan only I think ) on my UCF21 Celsior... They are on order and should be here in Sapporo within the next few days...
Rims - -
Tires - -
I will post some before and after's for you....
I was not looking at compromising the awesome ride quality of my Celsior so I wanted to keep the stock tire height of 675 mm while going up from 16 to 18"... The Veruo ( couldn't find it on any other Dunlop site ) is the highest Premium grade Dunlop offered in Japan...
Cheers

Higuma, this is on the order of what i want to do. the pic you show of the tire has a large side wall and that is the way i wanted to go with so i don't lose the comfort. there was a club member in here that use the LS 430-2001 0r 2 18" factory alloys and the car looked great. once i get the right combo since these wheels are so expensive that i am going with (Auto Couture Magnifique) i then could play with the ride height. hey when you get those tires on please send in some pic's. Went and saw them...
Yesterday (Sunday) I stopped into the place were I ordered my tires and rims from to see if they had come in and they were already there - mounted and balanced ready for install...
I was surprised how short the sidewalls still looked even thought they are relatively fat in size at 245/45R18 on 18 x 8s
I really kicked myself for not having any camera and then later REALLY kicked myself for not thinking to use my phone as it will take a 2mp picture... Duuuuuuuhhhhh...
Anyways, I have scheduled Thursday afternoon as the installation time and will post pictures after...
