Default Purchased a 2000 LS400!! (a few pics inside)

Hey guys, yesterday I picked up a

2000 LS400- Black/ Tan
59k
HID
Woodgrain Steering Wheel

The car is really nice, it drives like a cloud! The 290hp is definitely evident when th go-pedal is depressed, but for the most part I have been just cruising! This car is alot bigger than my ES (which I still have), so I have been getting used to the size of her. The creature comforts of this car are just jaw dropping, from the powered seat-belt anchors, to the comfy seats, to the multi-function dash display. I really wanted more of a luxo-cruiser than a sports sedan (like my brothers GS400), and I am very happy with my choice. When I left my dealership yesterday after a long day, I got in this car and it just felt like a place of relaxation!!

IMHO, these wheels really "chump" the look of this vehicle so my rolling stock will be upgraded very soon (I hope). As of right now I don't think I will be going with a aero package (unless Auto Couture has a fire sale or something )

Here are a couple pics, let me know what you guys think!

This is my favorite view of the car, the VIP big grille, and large crystal free form reflector HID's

Here is a pic of the interior (aka comfort chamber ), I'm gonna be shallow for 2secs and say how much I LOVE the wood trim on the steering wheel! It just makes the interior feel so rich!

Thumbs up congrats!

I am happy for you and congrats on your new purchase. You sound so excited to, you remind me of how fortunate I am to have my LS. Also Stef, you did what I belive is a smart move, you purchased a used car and let someone else eat the big loss of value cars suffer. Smart move and great looking car. I am a big fan of factory wheels also. I know im a odd man out when it comes to that, but I think it says you have class when you go factory. Hay think about it do you really need to dress up a Lexus to say luxury. Of course not thats why we buy lexus' the cars speak for themselves.

Congrats. My first Lexus was a 93 LS and not as powerful and nice as your 2000 but I felt the same way when I got my LS. Enjoy your new toy!

Hey Stefan, looks like you got yourselves a new dwelling over in LS land, and also mucho congrats on your LS purchase. I can see you're still keeping the trend of dark-colored Lexus rides; I like that!

I must say that the '98-'00 LS models are one of the rarest I've seen on the roads, not to mention the last year in the model cycle, 2000. The interior looks so plush and right at home; you're exactly right about needing a "luxo-cruiser". Doesn't it feel great to start the year off with a Lexus purchase? Man oh man, I can hardly wait to see you and possibly both of your rides (ES and LS) at the Woodbridge NJ meet next month

Congrats, Stef I love the '98-00 bodystyle, especially with the optional HID's. My rim upgrade suggestion--the 5-spoke 18's from the new '04 LS with the sport package--the graphite polished and chrome both look great on Black Onyx.

Here's a pic in this thread for those who haven't seen these rims yet. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...hreadid=114328

To me, perfect mix of class/sport, and they'll maintain the OEM look/centercaps. Some people will howl that "they are blatant copies of the S-class AMG Monoblocs", but I think these are clean look that's too nice for MB to have alone.
