Hello,

My 92 LS400 have problem with

- power steering not tilting automatically or manually (only clicking sound)
- moonroof not working
- memory seat not working
- safety belt height adjustment not working for both driver and passenger
- power windows all not working

all failed at the same time!

What can be the problem?? I checked the small fuses nothing wrong but I read someone had almost similar problem and its something to do with the big fuses.

Any help is most appreciated. Thnx

Sounds like a fuse or a number of fuses got burned out.
I would look at the fuse diagram in the owner's manual and check them all. Not only the fuses that are in the driver's foot well, but the ones that are in the engine compartment as well. Once you do that, you will probably find the culprit.
However, if more than one fuse burned out at the same time, you may have a bigger problem that caused them to fail. That may be more difficault to diagnose, but checking ALL th fuses is a good place to start.

As I recall, the windows, the moonroof, and the steering wheel tilt are all on one circuit. The other things you mentioned may be on that circuit, too. And as I recall, that circuit uses a breaker, not a fuse. The breaker (and I think it's under the dash, not under the hood) has a tiny pinhole in it. You push in the hole with a toothpick to reset the breaker.

That's all from memory, so I might be all wet.

Of course, if the breaker trips again, you'll want to figure out what's wrong.

Owner's manual page 191 states circuit breaker 27 controls all these things. scanned in pages here http://www.rhlconsulting.netfirms.com/lexus_fuses.htm in case you don't have the manual handy. my guess is that this circuit breaker is in the fuse box on drivers side or under hood by battery.

Thnks to all for the tips. I got the problem solved and all is working now when I found the circuit breaker next to the fuses under the dash and reset them using toothpick as suggested by Curt!! Thnx Curt! Now Lexus should supply free toothpicks dont u think so?

At this point no idea the circuit breaker got triggered as I can't get it to trigger again after some fiddling with other switches but thats good news to me.

My remaining problem is the blackened LCD display but can't do anything cos I need a right hand drive version. The one available is a DIY fix is a left drive version.

As for the LCD's, they do go out. I can fix them, but I don't have the part for right hand drive.
