Drivers seat belt
I just brought a used 1995 LS400 and there seems not to be a lot of tension in the drivers seat belt. The passenger has plenty of tension. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it?
Thanks

I had the same issue on my pass side belt, '94 LS400. There is a switch in the door that provides different levels of tension, when you open the door mine would retract nicely but inside with the door closed it did not have any tension. I did the tests to be sure the switches were ok and so I had to replace the tensioner/belt assy.
I bought a new tensioner/belt assy, from Carson Toyota for under $200. Take out the seat, remove the trim panel, and replace the entire belt, retractor, etc assy that comes in the box. Not too hard but be careful with the unit as there is a auto retractor device that can go off and must be disposed off properly.
Good luck.
