RPM vs. Speed
Some information about RPM vs. speed on my 91 LS 400 with 150K miles:
60 mph @ 2000 RPM
65 @ 2200
70 @ 2350
75 @ 2500
80 @ 2650
This was recorded after an "Italian tuneup" (ie. after driving 100 miles at high speed).
It's quite linear; about 150 RPM for each additional 5 mph. The error is about +/- 25 RPM using the vehicle's tach & speedometer.
It would be interesting to compare with the original data (when the vehicle was new) if it's available.
