Default Need definite answer on strut bar

I never got a straight answer in the strut bar thread.
Which one do we need to fit a 2000 LS400? MK 3 supra twin turbo?

I think I read someone ask if it should be the MK3 bar or not about 4 times.....

Does anyone know the exact distance from eyelet to eyelet a STB must be for the LS400?

It can be any distance.

There is no engineered spec to 99% of these types of bars, it simply ties the towers to each other, and can done in just about any configuration you want.
Being a non-machpherson strut car, the appreciable gains from this are not, but the $100-200 for the hand rest/dress-up factor is worth it to some.

My red Tanabe arm rest was had for $85. Since it has the same benefits as a sticker, I forget it's there till I pop the hood.

So. If there is no eyelet distance spec, who is to say one cant use a already bent tower bar like this one:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pilot-Motorsports-Front-Strut-Tower-Brace-Bar-Honda-Civic-CRX-Del-Sol-Integra-/231109693740?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35cf36112c&vxp=mtr

then you would have to swap the mounting rings, but im pretty sure we are capable of handling that. But for $10 for a STB, I can handle making my own rings.

You can totally do that.
You do have to know what you are doing and make sure you are buying a bar that will clear what you need to clear as far and the engine. But then you are going to have to fabricate your own town mounts to join to the bar...
