Default Considering2013 -2015

I currently on a 2008 LS460 and considering buying a 2013 2014 or 2015 model. I know some of the packages may be different from year to year, but I was wondering if there are any big advantages I should consider between these years.

My understand is that the control arms and brake actuators shouldn't be problem like in the earlier models?
Any major changes in the Mark Levinson stereo systems?
Has the air suspension system become more reliable?
Has the drivers seat comfort, changed over these years?
Any other ideas to consider?

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!!

I think you will find little or no differences in exterior or interior styling, or equipment options between the 2013-2015 cars. There could be hidden improvements in components used (e.g., engine, suspension or audio components), body rigidity etc. that I am not aware of. Driver's seat controls are identical between 2013-2015 and the thigh extender provides more support than in previous years. The mouse control hardware for the infotainment system was upgraded in 2015 or 2016, and there is an extra home/back button in the 2016 model, making navigation of the on-screen menus less tedious. Having owned a 2012 LS for 8 months, immediately followed by a 2014 LS for the last 10 months, I am very happy with the features and appearance of my 2014. All things being equal (similarly equipped), you should consider buying a 2013 and not have to worry about paying 10-15K extra for the privilege of having a 2015. If CPO is important for you however, there may not be too many CPO 2013s with the options you want in your region. Tons of CPO 2014-2015s out there.

Congrats on being in the market for another LS, LS460er. In case you're not already aware, the redesigned 2018 LS should be revealed in a few days at the North American International Auto Show. That should trigger some price reductions soon on previous generations. Not sure how soon you want to buy but waiting a short period may give you more bargaining power. Good luck and let us know what you find/decide on.

I mentioned this in another post but with the low interest rates earlier this decade, there have been a TON of leases. A significant number of luxury cars sold have been leases, and many of them are on a 36-39 month cycle. Meaning the 2014's are going to start to be turned back to dealers in a couple of months....this will flood the market with pretty decent mileage 2014's which will drive down 2013 pricing. As mentioned above, there isn't really any difference in a 14 to a 13....right now 13 LS units with 40-50k miles are in the $37-$40k range, meaning you should see them sub-$35k in 3-6 months. If you can wait, the prices of the 13s will drop faster than the trade-in value of your 08.

Long story short, if you can afford to wait, I'd wait.
