Default Pirelli P Zero All Season + Tires for 09 AWD LS460

Considering trying these on my LS based on Consumer Reports positive ratings. My main priority is noise and this Pirelli was the only one that got the top rating. Anyone out there had any experience w/ this Pirelli model?

Yes I've run through a couple sets of them over the past 50,000 miles. Junk. I bought the car with those tires, so I figured...hey why not keep them? And I did for a while. They are loud, they wear terrible. That's all I can say about them. Loud and wear quickly, poorly. I hated them.

The only thing good I can say about them is that handling was good...soft rubber, good grip on dry pavement.

And and these tires are terrible in any sort of bad weather conditions, they shouldn't even be allowed to call them all season. I'm serious, they should be sued for that. Buy something else, anything else. I have a set of cheap tires on my car right now, they wear better and are much quieter than my Pirelli P Zero's (although the Pirelli's gripped dry pavement better). Seriously you can do better from almost anything. Just my two cents (but I'm obviously pretty passionate about my hate for these tires).

I will be shopping for all season tires next year. Based on discussions on this forum and reviews, it looks like Pirelli P7 Cinturatos and Continental DWS06 would both offer a good blend of comfort, quietness, and all season performance. Check these out.

I wouldn't buy the P Zeros if your primary desire is a quiet ride.

Really like my Conti DWS06 tires. Quiet and very good grip wet or dry.

Comparing between the PZero on my old 09 and the p7 Cinturato that is currently on my 13 awd. I have to say the p7 is much better in every category.

I used the Conti DWS on my BMW530i and IS250. They were good tires but got a little noisy after they wore down about 1/2 way. Not sure if this continues with the DWS06. If I keep my LS460, I'm going to try the Pirelli P7 A/S Plus.
