What ball joint spreader tool is used to remove the ball joint on the number1 control arm on my 2007 LS460.
I have an otc tool but it only opens 2 inchs. I have to replace all 8 arms on my car and I started with this arm and cannot get it apart. Please help.

If you're referring to the "kingpin" ball joint that is part of the hub assembly...detach the arm from the frame, turn it perpendicular exposing the only flat surface. Strike the flat surface (anvil-like square)! Hit it with a 5lbs hammer and it will spring free of the kingpin. See the flat surface in the bottom left of the included pic. It was designed for your convenience
