OP, Knoxvillian here also, congrats on your purchase!
What color was your old 430? And what color is your new one? I'll look for you out on the roads.
Regarding the power difference, for sure the 460 is faster once you wind it out. Down low though I find the 430 feels more powerful and torquey. I'm looking forward to a 13+ 460 one day (IDK when, lol) but I will miss the 4.3 UZ motor and 6spd auto.
There was a recent MT article with a '15 or '16 LS460 and they got 5.6 seconds 0-60--finally someone cracked off a good time.

Knoxville represent! Grew up here until I went off to college. My folks banished me from going to UT (tried to negotiate a 911 in return for going to UT for free) as they wanted me to get the "true college experience" so I ended up going down the road to UGA.
My UL is/was Crystal White and the 460 is Black/black.

Greetings. Gratz on the 460L. I know a lot of 430 owners are reluctant to change. I too went from the 430 to the 460 and have never looked back. I'd say you got a great deal. I hope you smile every time you press the start button like I do. Being on the mountainous side of the state, you should have plenty of engine to get you up and down those hilly roads.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

Congrats on the LS460, I think I might pick a used one up if I can find a good deal soon. I originally intended to likely get a 4th Gen Lexus GS350 but after test driving one I was disappointed with the power, does not feel anywhere near as quick, satisfying, or effortless as my V8 GS or the LS460 I drove.
Few times I drove through Knoxville it looked like a interesting city, I like how parts of the highway are raised and around Christmas you see so many big lighted trees on the buildings that look almost eye level. Always wanted to try that restaurant Regas with the red sign right next to the highway though I have used the new alternate route the last few times when driving in Knoxville around the city to avoid traffic.

Truly could not be happier and thanks again for all of the warm welcomes. While there are some niggling scratches and a dent to the right of the "L" on the trunk, I would way rather have a car with a complete service history that included doing every single thing recommended. For instance, the tires (9000 miles ago) and and pads/rotors and actuator (4000 miles ago) pales in comparison to the cost of fixing the dent and buffing out the scratches on the rear bumper. The interior looks brand new and I will post pics of that later today.
As I am at 88,300 miles, what exactly is involved with the 90K service? I briefly spoke to my local dealer and they spoke of replacing filters, windshield wiper blades (cannot countenance not doing that myself), and I forgot what else.

The great thing about Knoxville is it is lousy with great driving roads with the Tail of the Dragon not far away at all.
When I moved back after 20 years living first in Charleston, SC and then Siesta Key, Florida, it took me a few weeks to reacclimatize to all the winding roads. This was decidedly exasperated by at the time having an LX470 with BFG All Terrain AT KO2's that were 33's (largest possible without a lift)
We don't mess around with Christmas here in Knoxville! A few houses down from my father's house is a gentlemen who spends in excess of $20,000 on an absolutely OTT display and the rest of the neighborhood is such that folks drive from all over the area to see the displays. While my personal preference would be to slightly scale back and give some of that largesse to charities of their choices (I am sure I sound like a socialist of saying that), it really is absolutely beautiful as the HOA are hard core about darn near everything and the idea of something "garish" might cause a huge uptick in Xanax prescriptions.

Transmission fluid change
Differential fluid change
Spark plugs (some members here don't bother and wait until higher mileage)
Brake fluid flush
As for wiper blades, don't skimp. Toyota refills are relatively inexpensive, but more importantly work properly. They don't chatter, they last, and they're quality. My dealer charges me about 20 bucks for both. I live in a very wet and rainy region, and they never let me down, unlike other supposed quality brands (PIAA, Michelin, Trico, etc).

Congrats on your new purchase.
I just did the same exact thing a few days ago. The 460 is differently a much better vehicle than the 430. I'm just a little upset that Lexus made the packages damn near difficult to find. When the 430 came out, it was either
Base w/o Nav
Base with Nav
Ultra Luxury
Now it's either
Base w/o Nav
Base with Nav
Comfort (Height Adjustment)
Comfort Plus (Comfort plus ML System, Park Assistant, and SOME controls in the backseat)
Fake L (LWB with no controls in the backseat, also it may or may not come with Height Adjustment)
True L (LWB with controls in the backseat and ALL the bells and whistles)
Executive Edition
I've been looking at 460s for awhile and I was displeased with finding some with some features and others without a lot of features.
What I do love about the 430 was the reliability. I had a few issues, but nothing major. I hope the reliability travels with the 460.
But congrats again!! Hope you love it.
