Not necessarily. For example, my LS obviously has Lexus assist parking (beeping sensors). My wife's CT200H does not. Everytime I drive her car and put it in reverse, I have to remind myself that there will be no beeping when I'm close to an obstacle. Several times that has caused an issue when I've nearly backed into something. We get complacent when we get used to these types of things. It's no excuse for bad driving habits, but it is what it is. I see the same thing happening with lane assist. Shoulder checks...nah.

brake hold is cool if you are in a large congested city. however I see it as adding premature wear to the brake actuator. btw, some people wonder if its fail safe. like "what would happen if I forgot the hold feature was engaged and I tried to get out of the car"? try taking off your seatbelt and getting out of the car while the hold feature is on. the car locks itself down completely and wont go anywhere.

Like Steve said you could just turn it off when you go to park. I don't see this being an issue unless you really press the gas, there's a short delay from the time you press the gas and when the car starts moving. If you give the gas a light tap the brake hold will disengage and the car starts moving about a second later.

I like using the brake hold feature on this one steep hill that has a light at the top. It is like a little thrill ride of "will it hold?" with my foot hovering over the brake should the car lose the game.

I use it. As well as self-parking (forgot when was the last time i backed up to my driveway manually lol). What is the point of having ultraluxury vehicle otherwise??

If the self park feature worked properly, I agree....but luxury features are only good of they work and are practical. One little bit of an incline and the feature stops working (ie: when applying throttle). How many parking spaces are located on a perfectly flat space?
