Just turn it off when you approach the wall to park.

Several times that has caused an issue when I've nearly backed into something. We get complacent when we get used to these types of things. It's no excuse for bad driving habits, but it is what it is. I see the same thing happening with lane assist. Shoulder checks...nah.
I see your point because there have been 2 occasions where I've almost backed into a wall because I turned off the parking sensors after going through a car wash and forgot to turn them back on. I've never had an issue forgetting that the car I'm driving doesn't have the brake hold feature. If anything I'm extra aware because I have to stay on the brake at a light, who does that anymore?

brake hold is cool if you are in a large congested city. however I see it as adding premature wear to the brake actuator. btw, some people wonder if its fail safe. like "what would happen if I forgot the hold feature was engaged and I tried to get out of the car"? try taking off your seatbelt and getting out of the car while the hold feature is on. the car locks itself down completely and wont go anywhere.

It works just fine, but I never use it. I also turned off the beeping proximity sensors. I've been driving a long time and I don't really need any of these new features.

Like Steve said you could just turn it off when you go to park. I don't see this being an issue unless you really press the gas, there's a short delay from the time you press the gas and when the car starts moving. If you give the gas a light tap the brake hold will disengage and the car starts moving about a second later.

I like using the brake hold feature on this one steep hill that has a light at the top. It is like a little thrill ride of "will it hold?" with my foot hovering over the brake should the car lose the game.

Really convenient option in my opinion especially at those really long lights

I start to use this function now. I won't release the foot until I see the orange hold light on

I use it. As well as self-parking (forgot when was the last time i backed up to my driveway manually lol). What is the point of having ultraluxury vehicle otherwise??

If the self park feature worked properly, I agree....but luxury features are only good of they work and are practical. One little bit of an incline and the feature stops working (ie: when applying throttle). How many parking spaces are located on a perfectly flat space?

I love the brake hold feature but forget to turn it on most of the time. As for the self park feature I have not yet gotten it to work.

I just realized something today. May not a be a big deal for most but you can't open the trunk if you're in gear and the brake hold is engaged.

My car displayed a message like: be careful about brake hold when it is slippery in the snow.
